Narrative Report

Internship Scam Alert: Candidates, verify before trusting “shortlisting” emails. I recently received a “Shortlisting Confirmation” email from a lady scammer named Shalini HR for an “Innovexis Internship Program”. Here is what raised red flags: ❌ I never applied for this internship ❌ No role mentioned ❌ No stipend details ❌ No duration ❌ No clear hiring process ❌ Generic “Dear Candidate” email ❌ Quick induction/orientation style communication ❌ I found multiple LinkedIn posts from many candidates in the last 2 weeks saying they received similar emails without applying So I did some basic research to gather some data. At the bottom of the email, an address in Maharashtra was mentioned. Based on that, I found one company using the name hashtag#Innovexis(located in Maharashtra, but the address I observed at the bottom of the email was different from what I saw on the company linkedin official page). I also found another LinkedIn/company presence with a similar Innovexis name, but it was not clear which entity is actually connected to this email. So this is my heads-up: Innovexis INNOVEXIS If this email is genuinely from any company using the Innovexis name, please review your hiring communication process immediately. If someone else is misusing your company name, email identity, or brand name, please investigate and take action. Because candidates, especially freshers, are already under pressure. Sending “shortlisting” emails to people who never applied creates confusion, false hope, and serious trust issues. A real intern hiring process clearly mentions: ✅ Role ✅ Duration ✅ Stipend ✅ Selection process ✅ Company details ✅ Official HR contact I replied asking them to remove my details and not contact me again. And honestly, candidates should feel free to respond firmly to such suspicious emails. Be bold, my Gen Z Scammers deserve direct replies, not politeness wrapped in fear. Don’t pay any fee. Don’t share Aadhaar, PAN, bank details, or certificates blindly. Don’t celebrate every “shortlisted” email immediately. Verify first. Your data, time, and trust matter. A genuine opportunity gives clarity. A suspicious process gives urgency, confusion, and vague promises. Know the difference. During midnight 1 am I received such mail made me frustrated. very sad to see how some people misuse .
